Homemade

I have made these granola bars a few times and they are delicious. Its even a better feeling when you eat them and think that you made it all by your self! It's so easy.

Homemade Granola Bars

  • 1.5 cup  oats
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (I used sweetened because that's all I could find)
  • 1/2 cup chopped cranberries (or any dried fruit you want)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • Now, just mix everything together! Put the mixture into a container, I used a Pyrex, and put it in the freezer for a few hours. This makes it easier to cut later.

After 2, 3, 4 hours take it out and cut into the shape you would like the wrap them in saran wrap and keep the in the fridge.

    Yum!

This is the best thing ever. I'm going to start making these. Eric eats these every day at work and we get them at COSTCO.. first of all they are soooo expensive... and who knows what is actually in them. Thanks for the tip :)
